Leadership

Wes Murry
Trustee
From a young age, Wes was involved with the foundation. He had the opportunity to sit alongside his father and grandfather and learn the importance and impact of strong leadership.
Anne Murry
Trustee
Anne is passionate about improving the trajectory of people’s lives. With a particular fire for autism, she wants to spread the word about medical intervention and fund treatments through like-minded partners. She is also a big believer in increasing our use of art and parks to inspire joy and impact mental health.

Our story

We have strong roots in giving back. Our organization was founded In 1974 by Emanuel “Manny” Murry, who wanted to continue the lessons instilled in him as a young person. His father, an Assembly of God minister, insisted Manny tithe his earnings starting at age 10. What began as a childhood requirement became a lifelong practice in the Murry Foundation.

We operate in Lexington, Kentucky, and Lancaster, Pennsylvania (Manny’s hometown). We continue the original mission of creating lasting change. And while our partnerships have evolved, we continue to collaborate with organizations that have hearts and minds for a more accessible and fair future.
